Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Third Stone Software website (thirdstone.com), run by Third Stone Software LLC ("we", "us"). Our apps have their own policies: Weave andPtolemy.

The short version

• There are no accounts. You can read the whole site without telling us anything.
• If you use the contact form, what you write is emailed to us so we can reply.
• Google Analytics runs only if you accept the cookie banner.
• We don't sell your information or show ads.

The contact form

When you send the contact form, we receive your name, email address, company (if you give one) and your message. They are emailed to us through Amazon Simple Email Service so we can reply; your email address is set as the reply-to. We don't add them to a mailing list or store them in a database. We keep the email as long as we need it to answer you and, if we work together, as part of our business records.

To stop spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that you're a person. Cloudflare receives your IP address and information about your browser to do this; seeCloudflare's Privacy Policy. Our form handler also uses your IP address briefly to limit repeated submissions, and records it in our server logs when it turns a request away.

Google Analytics

If you accept the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to see which pages get visited and how people find the site. It sets cookies (_ga, _ga_…) and sends Google the pages you view, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Nothing is sent to Google until you accept, and it never runs if your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Hosting

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS Amplify and CloudFront) in the United States. Like any web server, it records requests, including your IP address, the page asked for and your browser, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Stored in your browser

The site saves two small settings in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme, and your answer to the cookie banner. They never leave your device. The site's fonts are served from our own server, not a third party.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal information.
• We don't show ads or use advertising cookies.
• We don't load any third-party scripts beyond those named here.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what we hold about you (in practice, any message you sent through the form), and ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data-protection authority. Write to us at the address below.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from them; if you believe a child has sent us some, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
